This section of my website is about 'deepsea' travelling on freighters. Almost all the info on this part of the website was originally published on www.contship.de. See below for the details.
Probably the most intresting is the 'baggage/info' page. On Rainer's site were also 2 travel reports. One of them in Dutch was already published on my website a few years ago. You can find that one in the dutch menu in the 'Verhalen, Willem Kroon' section. It describes a week travelling on the container feeder 'Containerships VI' from Rotterdam - Helsinki - Teesport - Rotterdam. And you can also find the english travel report about the voyage with the Queensland Star by Jo Walters.
You can also find a summary of some freightertravel links. More links were
on Rainers website, so I suggest when you need links to for instance shipping companies to
take a look in Yoroen's original links page and look into
the Link Collections Paragraph. I copied one entire links page, the one with links to
Sailors/Dockers, maybe because I am one myself :-)
Last but not least I made a page about Rainer with some info he wrote about hisself with some pictures.
Almost all this content was originally published on www.contship.de. See the logo below. The owner of that site is/was Rainer Kluge (Rainer from Berlin). He probably died somewhere around 2001, due to a deadly disease. His website went 'black' after some time. Because I expected this I wanted to prevent the loss of some of the content of his website. That's why I copied parts from his website and I have published it partly after some years (february 2005).
